Limited screening of February Light, a film directed by Anniwaa Buachie, written by the Emmy Award-winning Jamaican Poet Laureate Kwame Dawes, executively produced by Kobina De Graft Johnson of Anibok Studios. This exclusive showing will take place during the How Do We Reconcile? exhibition, a prestigious mixed media event at Copeland Gallery in London.
February Light is an evocative and deeply moving exploration of love and self-sacrifice, and I am proud to present this film as part of a larger conversation on the future of Black art.
The exhibition will feature 22 distinguished artists and filmmakers, offering an unparalleled reflection on how the rich legacy of Black creativity shapes new narratives.

Following our success on the international film festival circuit, including Best Short Film nominations at Los Angeles Pan African Film Festival, Toronto Black Film Festival, Joburg Film Festival, New York African Film Festival, Essence Festival - Film Festival, Aesthetica Film Festival, Ghana’s Black Star International Film Festival, and more, this exclusive screening is organised by Picturehouse Cinemas and the London Pan African Film Festival.

Anniwaa recently worked with phenomenal director and filmmaker Ulla Fudge on her latest series “The Dreaming Diary” to highlight the importance of dreams, specifically how nightmares reflect our subconscious fears and paranoia. The project consists of seven filmed nightmares with symbolism that can reach wide audiences.

After having a wonderful reception at the New York African Film Festival Moon Over Aburi, an African Noir produced, co-directed, and starring Anniwaa Buachie will have a premiere screening at the renowned Essence Festival in New Orleans - Louisiana - United States of America. Essence Festival takes place every fourth of July weekend. Attendees are invited to enjoy live musical performances, films at night, and daytime activities, including speeches from well-known speakers. It is organized by the prominent African American magazine: Essence and is an emblem of the rich cultural legacy of the African Diaspora within America and beyond.

Moon Over Aburi, a film Noir Anniwaa produced and starred in, has been officially selected to be a part of the 30th Anniversary of New York African Film Festival [NYAFF]. The film will be screening at the prestigious Brooklyn Academy of Music and Arts.
